Who We Are

Present and Positive is a small retreat center located in Idyllwild, California. We are also a community of individuals who share the common goals of self-awareness, personal development, and positive change in the world. We offer a variety of classes, workshops, retreats and session work to the local and global community. We are a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and operate entirely on a donation-based system.

Where We Are

We are located in the unique mountain community of Idyllwild, California. Our small retreat center and community space is perched at an elevation of roughly 5,300 feet on the slopes of Mt. San Jacinto. We are surrounded by San Bernardino National Forest: a beautiful, lush area repleat with outdoor activities, including world-class rock climbing, mountain biking and hiking. Roughly equidistant from San Diego and Los Angeles, we are about two hours from either, and very close to Palm Springs.

Our Principles

We believe that all people have everything they need within themselves to be free and to achieve their highest purpose. When free of distractions and surrounded by nature and a supportive community, we will naturally gravitate towards greater happiness, harmony and peace.  Present and Positive aspires to serve all beings in this way.  To help each person find the strength and courage within to engage directly with life and nature, and to gradually heal and transform, without relying on anyone else, any substance, or any dogma.
